Camp Abaco 2005

For those of you losers who don't stay in contact over the summer, I just came back from a missions trip to the Bahamas. I thought that being a councelor for 10-12 year olds would be easy, since Dimitri's 9, but think again! Bahamian children are not afraid to fight back. They scared me a couple of times.

Like this on girl, Samantha. This little kid made a soap opera out of the councelors. This is how it went:

Kevin and Amy were cheating on their spouses with each other (even though they're already married)

Eva was cheating on Zach with Dylan.

Mallorie was married to James but having several affairs- with Jon, Josh, and Michael.

Michael was cheating on Lacie because he was married to Marie but in love with Mallorie.

I was married to Chad, but maddly in love with Jon.

See what I mean? This girl was crazy! I all she wanted to do was fist fight any councelor that said there was no truth to any part of her Bahamian Soap Opera.
Eventually though, we got her to challenge us with Connect Four instead of her fists.

And let me warn you all right now: if I wasn't a Christian before, I am now!
This was definately a life changing experience, and may I invite all of you to youth group with me next Tuesday? I know you'll love it. Besides, I'll be there, so what's not to love?

HE HE. I just might end up being a preacher and not a brain surgeon, but you never quite know about these things do you?

God bless,
from your favorite Sugar Baby
